T'was the night before Christmas

As it is less than 30 minutes until Christmas is here, I'd just like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, wherever you are.

Good will to all men, lots of festive cheer and all that.

If you're out and about during the season, be careful and stay safe.

On a geekish note, I've wangled myself some very interesting work over the Christmas period. Some of you I would say would be quite interested once it's up and running, so I'll drop a note when it's done. Obviously, any exciting and trendy things I come across during the time will probably end up here too.

One thing though is that it's been the first time actually writing PHP for a few weeks (with work the past few weeks, it's just been bug-hunting) and after Ruby, it's hard going. I miss the awesome features like attr_writer and the such. Having to write everything in get and set methods to make a clean interface is very very tedious.

Finally, those of you in the business as it were, may find RFC 1882: The 12-Days of Technology Before Christmas can provide you with a bit of a chuckle.

Ahh, B-Trees...
